My son is a crazy Houdini toddler and can get into and onto anything. I have tried to baby proof our house but he has managed to get around most of my efforts. My daughter is just starting to roll and scoot all over the floor and will soon be very mobile. I can only hope that my baby proofing efforts hold her back a bit more than they do her brother because I'm not sure I can handle 2 Houdini children!
This is Levi climbing up into his high chair so that he can get to the table. Notice that there are no chairs at our table...this is because he figured out how to move them around the house so that he can get up high. Our chairs now live in the hallway that is blocked off by a baby gate. The baby gate seems to be one of the last things that will stop him.
He has figured out how to get into our big bay window in our office/playroom and loves to sit there and watch the cars and planes go by.
There are many more things he has gotten into and on top of but most have been too dangerous to allow to continue long enough for me to snap a picture. I can only hope that as he gets a bit older he will start to understand what could happen if things go wrong.
I will end this post with a picture of my sweet boy and his beautiful smile! Just don't let that sweet smile fool you for too long... :)
As a side note and to add to his Houdini-ness, notice that his PJ's are on backward. That is because he has figured out how to get out of just about all of his clothes and he loves to take his diaper off, if given the chance. This is the only way we have figured out how to keep him dressed when he is left alone at night in his crib. I can only hope that his teenage years are easier than this!
